  1. Set all your 2nd floor interior walls to No Room Definition. Set the ceiling back to 1-1/2". Widen the gable wall until the roof looks like you want. Turn off Auto Rebuild Roof. Raise the ceiling. Uncheck No Room Definition on the interior 2nd floor walls.
  2. You already have a 2nd floor, no need to add anything. Switch to the 2nd floor, turn on Reference Display to show the walls below, and draw in your needed walls. Use the Align With Wall Below tool to perfectly align them.
  3. Start with this. I made a section of the front wall gable and auto built the roof. Now you need the roof to continue across the gable. Break the main roof, drag it across, use the join tool to join it to the far side. http://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cbetFg6doI
  4. See https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/topic/13201-muntins-mulled-arched-top-windows/ Some info I posted in Suggestions on ChiefTalk. I used a feature in Chief, Custom Mutins, to fix the problem., that you don't have in pro. I don't understand this. You should use a 1-1/2" rough ceiling height instead of a 0". What roof planes, and what stretch? Images of your model would help.
  5. Right click somewhere outside the walls of the structure. Paste, then Paste, then click where you want to place the window/door. Or Control-V (on a PC) and click where you want to place the window/door. You can also copy and paste the wall containing the door/window.
  6. Create a new plan using the Arts & Crafts template. Place a Door and a Window in the plan. Select one and copy into your working plan. You may also, (I think) add the door and window to the library, making them available in any plan.
  7. Looks much better. Don't know why the software ships with these settings. It's the first thing people complain about and it's not clear what needs to be changed.
  8. See if you have this setting. It's new in the latest version of Chief, may also be in Pro. Here is Ambient Occlusion at 12. And at 92.
  9. I deleted Automatic and Manual Dimensions.
  10. Post your plan file and I'll have a look.
  11. Soffits, Slabs, Custom Countertops. All are similar, but have different features. Also Shapes in the Library.
  12. Turn them off and use Temporary Dimensions. Edit>Delete Objects Check Interior Dimensions, this will delete them and turn them off.
  13. Suite does not have the ability to create Architectural Blocks.
  14. It depends on how you will use your model. If you are wanting construction documents that show framing details, one way, if just to create a 3D representation, another.
  15. Done with Suite, so it may be done in Architectural.
  16. I pulled roof plane back. Added the front and inside walls. You can auto build this by creating a room where you want the dormer and raising the ceiling height.
