You want to have someone create construction documents from your plan? You need an Architect and/or engineer to stamp the plans? What are you wanting with the DXF to DWG conversion?
-
Have you built/rebuilt framing?
-
I'd patch the holes with the inverted wedge shape in the library.
-
Did you try deleting the walls above the roof?

A bit of Google searching will turn up more info. In short, it's the standard (and somewhat confusing) standard for displaying window and door sizing. 26x40 = 2 feet 6 inches x 4 feet 0 inches.

It helps old guys like me if you would insert a few blank lines. Also helps if you say simply what you want so others don't need to read through. I would start by creating a new material, then using that material as part of a new wall definition. See if this works for you.

Try an uninstall then install. If problems persist, contact the Home Designer people directly. This is a user to user forum not monitored by the developers.

Set the top floor ceiling height to the height of the knee walls. Build roof. Turn off Auto Rebuild Roofs. Raise the ceiling height.

Looks like you are correct. Making them from parts is fairly easy. Make a shelf -- you can't use the shelf tool as it only does rectangular shapes -- then use Transform/Replicate to copy them and move in the Z axis.
-
You could build out of parts -- partitions, and slabs or countertops for the shelves, or push 2 cabinets together (which look good in Standard render, but not Vector views). Uncheck Create Automatic Blind Corner Cabinets if using the 2 cabinet method.

Read up on Angle Snaps.

Have you checked the Library and available bonus catalogs?

Try Preferences>Reset Options> Reset Side Windows It that fails, try a reinstall and use the Repair option.

Try these settings in the garage room. Set in the order shown. Then set the doors to have a 0" bottom height.

Alt-F2 is a toggle. It gets you into Print preview, then out. How is it working for you?
-
Start with these settings for the garage.

When you build a 2nd floor, set the ceiling height to 24". For more info look here: https://www.homedesignersoftware.com/search/?default_tab=all&q=salt+box Also see the Roof Styles panel of the Build Roof Dialog.- 1 reply

Can you show a picture or drawing of what you want? Posting your plan file will help too. -
I got this far. It does not look too good and is very fragile -- that is, a tiny change will cause the roof to go crazy. I see other items on your elevations that will be difficult to model with Architectural too. My suggestion is if you want an accurate model, either upgrade to Pro, or pay someone with Pro or Chief (far easier in Chief) to model the exterior accurately. You could then complete the interior and add colors/materials etc.
