The default for new plans is a framed floor, not a 4' slab. It sounds like you somehow changed it to a slab. To change it back, you need to input the new structure. The program does not know what you want, so it needs to be done manually. It's common to change the floor structure defaults to match an existing structure, or to match what is needed on a new build. If you have the defaults set correctly, and if the rooms are set to use the default floor structure they will change automatically (there is a Default checkbox next to the floor structure settings for a room). If the rooms are not using the defaults (checkbox is unchecked) you need to check it. You can multi select all the rooms and do it at once. Not suggesting you did this, but many new users make changes without understanding what they are changing. The program does a good job with its default settings, and most are easily changed if needed.

@mrecjohns Always best to start a new thread with a question, even when you have what seems like the same question as the OP. To answer the question, you need Pro and manual roof planes to do what you want.

@mthd97 Not always true. What is "RHS"? I'm sure there is a wall defining the porch that is set to Full Gable already, so where would the temporary wall go? I'm sure the OP and others reading this in the future would like to learn how to make the auto roof builder create the roof above. Maybe you could upload a plan showing your settings?

While you might be able to somehow force the auto roof builder to do what you want, switching to using the manual roof tools will be far simpler. For the best help, attach your plan file. 14MB file size limit, and the plan cannot be open when you upload (or Zip). Usually just need the plan and not a full backup. Thinking as a builder/remodeler (which I am) and as a designer (what I often pretend to be), I'll suggest eliminating the porch gable.

You set the Balcony room to have no roof?

Frustrating isn't it, but that's just how the program works. It normally happens when floor or ceiling heights differ between rooms.

Floor framing is located on the floor below, so to see it, you need to use Reference Display. Here I've changed the Reference Display Layer Set to show only floor joists, and left the default red line color. The Open Below space has no floor joists, while the room to the right does. Reference Display is handy for all types of things.

Lots. Download the trial and see for yourself. If you search around on the Home Designer website, (or contact sales) you can find a comparison PDF. It's a lot more money, but if you are a pro, I cannot imagine using Home Designer.

I'll guess it's the way your concrete foundation walls are defined. Try moving what I assume is the drywall to the interior wall layer instead of the main layer.

And attaching a simple plan file giving someone something to work with is also helpful.

I have no idea what you want to happen. How about starting with a before screen capture, then using CAD lines to draw what you want the walls to be like. It's helpful to note which wall you are referring to, or simply select it prior to a screen capture.

Yes Truss type? Keep in mind that trusses are designed by an engineer and accurate depiction is left up to them.

Suite doesn't do trusses.
