    Heel Heights

Is there anyway to have different heel heights of trusses/rafters without turning off the auto rebuild roof tab? For my house, I need 12" heel height to accommodate the 12" of insulation needed to reach code (I live in a colder climate) I don't want to have a heel height for the trusses over the covered porch. I generally do it manually but turning off my auto rebuild roof tab is always my last resort. Is there anyway to do this while maintaining the auto rebuild tab? Much appreciated Kalen Home Designer Pro 2021
  2. Hey All, Question regarding Home Designer Pro 2021. I have the basement framing completely drawn out, and want to make a small change to the foundation heights. Whenever I want to layout my basement framing I get a message that reads "Cannot draw new wall then Auto Rebuild Foundation is turned on" and then makes me proceed to turn it off. Is there anyway to make changes to my foundation height while retaining the basement framing? When I do turn make the changes to foundation with auto rebuild foundation on, it deletes my basement framing. Just curious as to whether there is an easier way besides manually adjusting my foundation wall (need it an extra 6" down to accommodate for slope of ground. Thanks, K Home Designer Pro 2021
  3. Hey All, (Home Designer Pro 2021) I am curious as to whether I can switch the side of the wall that Automatic Measurement automatically snaps to, without affecting the other measurements. In picture A, the garage foundation wall is kicked out 2' and the measurement snaps on the outside edge of the foundation wall. I need to remove the 2' jog out and run the foundation wall straight with the foundation wall for the house. When I do so, it automatically switches to the opposite side of the foundation wall (picture 2). I would prefer if it did not do this. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all
  4. Hey All, Thanks for the information. As I get more familiar with this feed and how it works I will surely become more efficient at it, but we all have to start somewhere. I can imagine us "Hometalk newbies" flooding the feeds with generic questions is frustrating. Other drawings I have created on the 2021 software the stem wall was centered on the footing. I have a hunch it has something to do with my default settings because now if I start a new plan it's offset on the footing. I have been playing around with the Wall Types definition and adding air gaps to each side and that seems to center it, but I feel like this is a mickey mouse way of fixing it.. This happened about a month ago and somehow I was able to fix it.....my stupidity for not retaining it lol
  5. Hey All, I'm using Home Designer Pro 2021. I've had this happen in the past and was able to fix it after hours and hours of reading. This pesky issue has happened again and I cant remember how I did it for the life of me. I have a 20"x8" concrete footing with ICF stem wall above. The stem wall is not centered on the footing. I think the part that is most annoying is what I am doing in the first place to offset it? On a majority of my plans it is automatically centered. If anybody has any suggestions that would make my day. I'm new to this forum so if more information or pictures is required I can do so. Thanks!
