Which columns are you asking about?
-
Read about how you can break a stair section into multiple parts and then control things like width and railings.
-
Then I imagine it's not an option. You can do it in Pro.
-
It looks like the roof is building to the rail. Maybe you want the left side gable to extend to the front corner? Select the railing and change to Full Gable.
-
I know of no documentation other than what's in Help. I've never seen this option used, or even asked about. I believe there is no point to point functionality, you place a point in Layout and the center of the Layout Box left edge will snap to the point.
-
Open a cabinet and take a look.
-
You can import CAD Blocks made in Chief into the library, but you cannot use them in the program. Except you cannot block CAD.
-
That's not even "kinda" a solution.

Opening Indicators Generally, the display of things is controlled by Layers. Watch on YouTube: http://youtu.be/K7jjx2kHrXg?hd=1

Sounds like a truss. Have you considered this? Tools>Layer Settings>Display Options Open a roof plane, under Structure.
-
Each view has its own set of display options. Check to set things to display. Simply changing defaults does not change existing roof planes. Open them and change. Reasoning for not using auto built ones? -- And it's helpful to break up your post with a few blank lines -- make it easier to identify each question/problem.

Edit>Edit Area Read about the options in Help.

What is "right"?

Is the top of the wall curved from high to low? Search Help or the Home Designer site for curved wall.

Thanks. I just tried a search here on the forum for curtain. Multiple entries came up -- I highlighted 2. Have you reviewed them?

Did they show in Plan? When in a 3D view, did you check Layer Display settings to make sure railing walls are set to display? You should decide on the level of detail you need for your roof top deck -- that is, once you have decided on how it will be built, then you can build the model to reflect this. Or, you may decide that drawing details using the CAD tools will work, and use the model for a visual representation, and not necessarily show accurate structure.

Good! Here is a video -- it was uploading while you were working ... Watch on YouTube: http://youtu.be/lrPJxx2vT9A?hd=1

There is a 30 day period for trying the full product. Consider purchasing and spending that time working to build the model. It's really difficult to help someone using the trial because you cannot save and attach plans here for others to work with. I suggested creating an accurate model because fractions of an inch will sometimes make or break the roof. A fix for one model may be different from another -- it just depends on the exact situation.

Your plan doesn't look like the house. Dimensions and roof pitch are both off. Suggest creating an accurate model if you are wanting to reproduce your house. And keep in mind that Suite has limited roof controls and often needs to be tricked into building what you may want.
-
Give the rooms on the 2nd floor a 1-1/2" ceiling height (or 0") or select the Ignore Top Floor option in the build roof dialog.
-
What's it supposed to look like? Pictures of the existing house would help.
-
You always need to have all floors complete before working on the roof. You don't build the roof, then add another floor.
