  1. Have you searched for coffered? Soffits may have moldings attached to them. Can you see how they would be used to model the ceiling? The doorway is arched. Add an arch via the Door Specification Dialog.
  2. Recommend contacting Home Designer support directly.
  3. You will need to manually move walls to put them in the correct location. This is easily done using temporary dimensions. There are good videos available -- linked above, that you might find helpful. Have you reviewed the Tutorial? Also, depending on the specific software you are using, you may or may not be able to model your walls (thickness) accurately.
  4. The space planning tool sort of works for rough layout of spaces. Don't rely on it to generate accurate plans as that's not its intent. No No

    Arched Soffit

No need to keep posting the same question
  6. Search the Chief site for clerestory. That should get you started. This is often called a Monitor Roof. One of my first practice plans after buying Pro 4+ years ago was a similar barn. Roof is auto built. I remember using a railing wall -- post to beam for the interior walls on another version.
  7. Yes, it may be done in Pro. How much have you been able to do? Resources for self help: The built in Help System (always a good place to start) Getting Started Knowledge Base YouTube
  8. I don't think so. You can manually delete what you do not want, the extend one and use Transform/Replicate to make multiple copies.
  9. The Home Designer website has articles and videos (linked below). Here is one about layouts. https://www.homedesignersoftware.com/videos/watch/2296/layouts.html?playlist=200 Also see David Potter's YouTube channel. I believe he has done a video as well. https://www.youtube.com/c/DavidJeffersonPotter Resources for self help: The built in Help System (always a good place to start) Getting Started Knowledge Base YouTube
  10. What are you wanting -- something like this? Textures don't stretch well like this. If this is what you want, you really need a new texture made with the correct size.
  11. You want to have someone create construction documents from your plan? You need an Architect and/or engineer to stamp the plans? What are you wanting with the DXF to DWG conversion?
  12. Have you built/rebuilt framing?
  13. I'd patch the holes with the inverted wedge shape in the library.
  14. Did you try deleting the walls above the roof?
  15. A bit of Google searching will turn up more info. In short, it's the standard (and somewhat confusing) standard for displaying window and door sizing. 26x40 = 2 feet 6 inches x 4 feet 0 inches.
  16. It helps old guys like me if you would insert a few blank lines. Also helps if you say simply what you want so others don't need to read through. I would start by creating a new material, then using that material as part of a new wall definition. See if this works for you.

    Floor layer options

Chief (Premier -- don't know about Interiors) has the ability to define specific layers and have details remain live. Here is one as an example. The fills are done automatically as well.

Try an uninstall then install. If problems persist, contact the Home Designer people directly. This is a user to user forum not monitored by the developers.

    Floor layer options

You will need to manually create that type of detail using the CAD tools. Here is a KB Article that will help. https://www.homedesignersoftware.com/support/article/KB-00439/creating-a-cross-section-detail.html

More accurately how? What are you not seeing, or wanting to change? Images might help explain
  21. Set the top floor ceiling height to the height of the knee walls. Build roof. Turn off Auto Rebuild Roofs. Raise the ceiling height.

    Open Corner Shelves

Looks like you are correct. Making them from parts is fairly easy. Make a shelf -- you can't use the shelf tool as it only does rectangular shapes -- then use Transform/Replicate to copy them and move in the Z axis.

    Open Corner Shelves

You could build out of parts -- partitions, and slabs or countertops for the shelves, or push 2 cabinets together (which look good in Standard render, but not Vector views). Uncheck Create Automatic Blind Corner Cabinets if using the 2 cabinet method.
