  1. I've not looked at your plan, but check these settings.

    Wall elevation view

Not that I know of. Place a cabinet against the wall and see if it shows.
  3. Please take the time to review the video/videos linked in your other post. It's clear you are a new user and do not understand how the program works. Your answer and much more may be found in the documentation and other resources I posted.
  4. This is just a guess -- when you build a foundation, the display switches to the foundation level. See what I have circled in red? It's on level 0. Go up to level 1 and you may find your plan. Otherwise, post a screen capture so we see what you see.
  5. I'd call and talk to Chief sales. To get a feel for real world use, you might post a question on ChiefTalk, saying you are a Pro user considering an upgrade to Interiors and wanting to know if the cabinet manufacturer catalogs are OK to use. https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/forum/7-general-q-a/
  6. You would need Chief Architect, not Home Designer to access that catalog. SSA is only available for the Chief Architect branded products.
  7. You might post in Sales Related Questions, or contact Chief Architect directly.
  8. Display where? In plan view, camera view? Reference display seems to show a gable wall above in your image.
  9. The "slant roof" is a shed roof. What is a "reverse gable"? And what specifically is wrong with your model?
  10. Draw a post, then resize it from a 4x4 to a 2x. Take an elevation view of the post and size in vertically. Once it's as you want, Transform/Replicate to copy it to your other joist/rafters. I'm curious why you are trying to model this framing condition. If you are submitting plans for permitting, a CAD detail showing one such assembly should suffice.
  11. You need to stick to the Home Designer site -- it's blue themed. And to minimize confusion, you are new to Home Designer, not Chief Architect.
  12. This may give you some ideas. 2 wall types, columns are 8" concrete, walls between are pony walls.
  13. You cannot combine SketchUp and native objects. There are limited layer options -- turn on or off only.
  14. You will need Chief Architect Premier. None of the Home Designer products do this. And I'm not sure what CAD format is.
  15. I downloaded the Suite trial and took a look. Many times when something unexpected happens -- like no slab under the garage, I'll draw in a new plan, a simple structure duplicating the problem plan. I tried that, and the garage slab generated automatically. I don't know why there is a problem with your plan. You might send this to support -- maybe they have an idea. You might try using Edit Area to copy the 1st and 2nd floors into a new plan. Build a blank 2nd floor, and then copy and Paste/Hold Position.
  16. And give the garage a room type of Garage.
  17. Attach the plan file and I'll take a look. Close Suite first.
  18. Do you have Auto Rebuild Foundation checked?
  19. There are multiple ways. Like, pick a color from the library and paint the siding.
  20. Make sure you are looking at Home Designer videos and not Chief Architect videos.
  21. Saving the file you used for the install to a DVD should create your own backup. You could save any updates there as well.

    Built-Up Molding

No built up moldings in Home Designer. Chief has far better molding tools, including the ability to create your own profiles.
  23. What is wrong with the dimensions shown in the wall elevation in your image?
