    Odd Wall Issue

Try to get the structure as you want before working on the roof. With auto roofs you can spend lots of time correcting the roof after a change in the structure, only to find your fix breaks after the next structure change. I took a quick look at your plan and noticed some floor to floor wall alignment issues. These will be obvious in vector view. Selecting a wall that is misaligned, you will see an icon in the Edit Toolbar to automatically align with the wall above or below.
  3. How did you do that? The drawing is always 1 to 1, and gets scaled when printed. No to both.

What "odd thing" are you asking about?

Use invisible walls to form a room in front of the fireplace and check Shelf Ceiling. The light fixture should locate on that ceiling.

    HDPro 2020

Search PBR on the Chief forum. It's been available for some time and plenty of discussion. It's similar to a raytrace, but not the same. https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/
  7. Just think through what you need to do. I have 2 rooms, one with a raised ceiling -- how would you do that? Once that's done, what is needed to form the missing ceiling? Answers depend on the roof -- auto rebuild, or not.
  8. The program does not want to do what you want it to do. It does not understand a deck over a roof. I imagine no one has replied because there is no simple answer. You are getting a warning, not an error and you can check do not show again. Posting your plan file and any other helpful info will give someone a start on helping.
  9. Any plan may be saved as a template. You can add or remove files from this list too.
  10. Winders The stairs need to be surrounded by walls, and you may need to increase the Max Tread Contraction (Style panel).
  11. I'd start on YouTube with the Roof Webinars. Resources for self help: The built in Help System (always a good place to start) Getting Started Knowledge Base YouTube
  12. Learning about manual roofs will be helpful. For example, there is a tool that will move one roof plane so it's coplanar with another.

    Floor Structure (L)

Only Pro has the ability to change framing -- other titles are stuck with the default. If you need a thicker floor, then yes, adjust the finish floor thickness.

    Floor Structure (L)

The standard floor structure is 3/4" OSB, and 11-7/8" I-Joist. You should build a slab for your first floor, if that's what you are asking about.
  15. Send him a test plan, or get the Pro trial and see for yourself. I send Home Designer users plans done in Chief all the time without issue, but have not sent a layout.
  16. There is no method for saving text in the library. You could add it to your default plan (or layout) template, or maintain it in a separate document.

What happens if you apply the materials via the Materials tab? Or, define a new wall type with the correct material and use it as part of the pony wall.
