Move or remove the existing soffits. Place the corner soffit. Put the others back.

You can use slabs and custom countertops too.

Pull the existing soffits back, then push a soffit into the corner -- it will change shape.

David was saying Suite lacks the manual roof tools needed to make this type of roof easy. Your image shows little detail, but see if this helps. You just need to understand the software -- how it works, and use that knowledge to help you create your model.

I don't know about Suite, but select the camera in plan, open object and see if you can set the height.

It's still there, and you can add it to a toolbar. It was removed from the default configuration because so many people did not understand how it worked. Why would you choose it over the Full Camera?

That's how basements are often finished. Build a wall, insulate and drywall. These houses might be built with the foundation wall to just above grade, then a framed wall would go from there to the start of the 1st floor. In Architectural and Pro, you can use a Pony Wall to do this, in Suite, not so easy.

The pictures are of the exterior. Pictures of the interior -- beams etc would be helpful.

Rooms control floor and ceilings heights, so create a room -- use a Room Divider wall, where you want the landing. Then give the floor in that room a negative value so it moves down and aligns with the door.

The software, and general public use floor to be what you stand on, and as the level of the structure -- ground floor, 1st floor etc. Imagine your 1st floor has the same floor (standing on) level everywhere. Now you want to drop a section of that floor down so that it aligns with the front door. The other part of that space will be Open Below to make room for the stairs to the basement.

Give that a try, or use a landing.

Probably not. Pictures of the exterior of the house you are modeling will help. Think of the house this way. Dig a 4' deep hole in the ground. The 4' could be anything, it depends on local conditions. Now drop your house into the hole. The front door is about level with the ground, and unless the ground slopes, it's dug out for access to the garage. Again, pictures would help.

Stairs are often put in after the floors, walls and ceilings are in, so just leave a hole where the stairs go and get the rest in place. The program wants floors to connect the top and bottom of stairs to.

Why not have 2 plans? As you know, there isn't a 1 to 1 relationship. 1" = 25.39999983236 mm. If you design in one, the other will have odd dimensions.

You should have made this decision around the first of the year when Chief always gives discounts/incentives to upgrade. Don't forget you get to take something off of the X11 price for having Pro 2018. And Chief does a rent to own so you could spread your payments out and end up owning instead of paying a subscription for ACad. Why are you considering an upgrade? What features do you want that Pro does not offer? Try reversing your steps rotating back 180, then use Edit Area>Edit Area (All Floors) to rotate.

How did you rotate? Best way is using Edit Area.

Also, the 1 hour webinars, and other videos on YouTube are worth watching -- not for learning about one specific thing, but rather to learn how the program works in general. Just make sure you are watching the Home Designer videos, and remember they always use Pro in the videos, so there will be things you cannot do in Suite. It is. What you see above is in Dave's signature, so it's always there. You see what others see.

What you want is not clear. Maybe post a plan with the island. When posting images, try using Vector View as things show up better.
