Labeling w/ measurements in cross section/elevation view

I am trying to label my floor line/roof line as well as labeling eave heights, etc... I cannot figure out how to do that when I am in cross section/elevation view. Any tips? Thanks.

I always do mine using a "vector view" camera; anyway you use dimension tools to dimension what you wish to display dimensions of. Sometimes placing a "CAD Line" makes that job easier as 2D objects are easier for dimensions to detect; you place the CAD lines where you wish the dimensions to measure to and then draw the dimension lines. You can "save" such cameras that you have customized  (if you do not save the work when you are done, it WILL be lost and have to be redone. This is a lot easier to do with Home Designer Pro but can be done in Architectural.

How do you identify where the main floor line is in "vector view" ?

Do you want to dimension, or simply label, like with a text box?

Preferably both if possible!

You can use "marker" in your text drop down box. You can label it what you want, plus you can dimension to it. You can start with the camera as a section view so you can measure to the point you want. Then you should be able to pull the camera back to outside of the structure, and the locations will stay.

Well I've learnt something here tonite on the use of " Markers".
