Fix roof

You sir are correct.

According to the print there are two different roof pitches,  8/12 and 12/12.

I set the two wider walls to 8:12

When I try to change the two narrower sections to 12:12 I get the error.  I am doing it in 3D view by clicking on the gable wall and changing pitch.

You get a lot more than just that. Compare the 2 programs

No doubt, but come on, a simple gable roof default is not an option?

Gable roofs are incredibly common and simple to design.  It is an abject software design failure by design.  I am not here to start an internet war.  I realize I have been dooped and now I am moving on.

Thanks for time everyone

You just need to review the documentation on how to control pitch.

I am trying to raise the roof height

What are you trying to raise -- the entire roof?

This obviously was not "solving" so Was this meant to be spiteful?

No, it was factual, useful advice, where you wish to set pitches other than the default pitch set in the "Build Roof Dialog" you set those diverging pitches by way of the "Wall specification dialog - roof tab -roof pitch input box" to guide the auto-roof generator to a desired result. If you are not obtaining a desired result then one must find where they have erred in manually setting up for the auto-roof generator (Build Roof Dialog - Roof Styles tab" is an excellent source of true data relative to setting up for various differing roof types and geometry).
