  1. The mistake I made, was the software version. If it was noticed my sig line says Suite 2017
  2. Another way to do that is to use windows either fixed glass or single casement, change the glass to screen. Draw the rail away from the walls and check no room definition, then place the rail where you want it. Place the door at the size you want, then place the windows and rails.
  3. In Suite, If you use walls, that will create a room, then make the walls glass and add windows. Next use room dividers to create the indoor pool, drop the floor to -60 or so , rename the room to bath and room type to pool. Change the walls and floor finish to tile, use the box shape, raise the height to 57" and change the material to water. If you use an object from 3d warehouse or the Bonus catalog, you don't need to use walls and room dividers, just use a Box shape, rectangle terrain feature and the water material.
  4. Very simple to do, just build the first floor to 7 or 8 ft. change the floor surface to plywood. Click Build > Floor> Build New floor change the ceiling height to 48" and set the wall pitches to what you want.
  5. Why in the world are you building that way? First thing you do is click edit>default settings and set your defaults. Keep auto rebuild roofs/foundation on until the roof is how you want it, then turn them off. For porch ceilings check use soffit surface for ceiling. How about uploading the plan....
  6. Use the Material definition tool, click on the material to open it's specification box, then change the rotation angle. This is why you should learned how the software works before you upgrade. Upgrading has it's perks, but it does you know good if you don't know how to use the software.
  7. Could you post an image or picture of what you want to create...
  8. Pro and CA Premier are for users who do that work for a living, that's why they have tools for that work. The lower versions HD are for users who like to do that for fun or as a hobby. Suite can open and edit a Architectural plan and vice versa, I would suggest you master Suite before moving up.
  9. When you get that message, you simply add a step or two. From the picture you showed, that's all you had to do.
  10. Here's what I came up with, when you use the upper pitch you create a gull wing. farmhouse1.zip
  11. Click the Material definition tool, then click on the material, then change the degree angle. Sorry for the mistake.
  12. Try this, uncheck ignore the second floor, uncheck auto roof return I have yet to see that work on a ungabled roof. Uncheck Upper pitch for all the walls, make pitches 4" Go to the second floor and gable the front and rear walls, set the pitches to 8 or higher, then lower the ceiling heights.
  13. Set the ceiling height to 48" Turn off auto rebuild roofs reset the ceiling height to 90" or higher...
  14. Have you tried this? Architectural > doors and doorways> glass panel
  15. Here you go... Turn off auto rebuild roofs, if don't it will change the whole roof of the plan. Click Build>Roofs>Materials to see what was done. glass roof.plan
  16. Could you upload the plan and some images of the cabin. Right know it's a questing game...
  17. Just from the images shown, the question I ask is why are you manually building the roof? Also it helps alot if you upload the plan.
  18. Turn on auto rebuild foundation, uncheck invisible and no locate, extend the porch walls out then gable the front wall. Use the break wall tool on the main house walls and gable both, adjust as needed. Turn off auto rebuild foundation, make the porch walls invisible.
  19. Try doing it with box shape(s) Change the elevation reference from floor to from ceiling and check flush mount. For the posts try using box shapes, don't change the elevation reference, just resize the box shape.
  20. Upload your plan please.....
  21. That is weird, the only way to change it is to name the Deck unspecified and check exclude from living area. Like Eric said Rebuild the plan using another template, if that doesn't work, reinstall or do a repair of the software. The last resort is to send the file to tech support.
  22. Here's what I came up with.... new - 1.plan
  23. If some thing like that happens again, click edit>delete objects>All rooms on this floor>deck framing
