Use 3 soffits, and place them the same way the room is built.
-
The 2nd floor walls invisible, no room definition and no locate should be unchecked. Then lower that newly created room. Lastly, read Jo_Ann's post for the roof problem.
-
Something told me to wait till Jo_Ann shows up and then post a response. I think tech support, should have look though. You shouldn't have to do a workaround for that one.
-
Like solver said, you have to change each wall. If your not to far into the plan, start over the with new wall defaults. Always set the defaults first, before building anything.
-
It's the attic wall that's causing the gap, seems like the walls won't align properly. I would send this to tech support.
-
For the 2nd time you CANNOT disable that feature. If customer support did not show you how, that usually means it can't be done. Furthermore, if you don't like the responses that were given, then you as well should not post questions.
-
Simply put, you can't.... I have no idea, why you would want that feature disabled. If you spent a lot of time and effort on a plan, the last you thing you want to do is to re-due everything that was done. Delete the plans you no longer use, further the software updates plans that are being worked at the time. Last. It's not a good idea to fool around with the registry. Even if you know what your doing. Don't ask how hack the software there simply isn't away to do so.

Since you have HD pro it's alot easier to build because of the roof tools that's available. In Suite you have to build floors, set the correct pitch and lower the the ceiling heights. Open the plan to see what was done.
-
To create the Dutch hip roof in Suite, you have to build a 2nd floor, resize the room so that it's smaller than the 1st floor. Example: If the 1st floor room is 8x10, then the 2nd floor should be 6x8 or so. Then you gable the front and rear wall, and lower the ceiling heights. Once that's completed, turn off auto rebuild roofs and click the default ceiling heights. Open the plan, to see what was done.

I think I fixed it. You used attic walls to create a room, that doesn't work, to create rooms, use walls, half walls, railings or room dividers. For the mirror in Master Bath, you open the specification box and then change the material. It won't work if you use the paint tool to apply the mirror material. house plan-1.plan

Here what I came up with... Lake 2.plan
-
Post the plan please...

Check your wall alignment and ceiling heights, also your roof overhangs.
-
It would be on the left side, by default, it will show when you click on wall and it's out of alignment with a wall that's below or above.
-
To create the building as one plan. If you build separately and then try to merge them as one, you will have roof, wall alignment etc: problems. Also I think that, would be kinda tough to do it.

Reset the 1st floor ceiling heights to their defaults, one is 72" the other is 106". Do the same for the second floor and then lower the ceiling to what you want. An option you can try is to add a railing to create a room on the 2nd floor and make that open below. Since the 1st floor wall is gabled, it creates an attic wall, using a full camera, click on the wall (s) at the stairwell and raise it up, you will see how far up you go.
-
Your right you can't automatically place objects on a landing, you have to manually place them. That's why you have a specification box for objects and fixtures, so that they can be edited. A easy way to understand the software and to see how it works, is to delete the wall in question and see what happens.

Disregard the last post, I spoke to soon.
-
That's not a true dormer per se, more like a shed roof. You raise the pitch on the front wall for it to move up.
-
Yes, you can if the Landing sits on the floor, that's not the case here. One chair is set to 40" the other is at 0". You won't see them in plan view but you can see them in 3d view. You do realize that wall is what makes the 2nd floor, you get rid of it there's no 2nd floor. redo the stairs, so that they are not on the wall.
-
Here you go... 10 9 16-1.plan Renamed the 1st floor stair room from garage to open below. Redrew the Front porch. Covered the brick wall(s) in the living room with wedges and a box shape Corrected the bifold doors.. Removed the shelfs and resized the cabinet overhang(s).. For some reason Suite adds 12" to the lower floor when you use open below..

Can't really see with .PDF format, use .png or .jpeg instead...
