That's exactly what I got -- that kicked up roof. I did not see the easy fix, but maybe Mick did?

Is this what you are wanting? I cheated a bit and used tools you don't have in Suite to do the roof. Check your ceiling heights -- most are using the default, some are slightly off. I did create a 2nd floor with short walls and no roof to fake the parapet walls.

Add the difference to the ceiling height in the garage.

Suggest you try it yourself. A marquee around the entire plan will select everything, even things that are not visible. Edit Area also has a "Visible" option which as it says, only selects what you see. Also, read up on Rotate Plan View. I don't believe it is intended to do what you want.

On the left side of the page -- Click Past year Then under Other click either Items I participated in or Items I started

Happened once to me too. Try using Edit>Edit Area(Edit All Floors) to select the entire plan, then just rotate it to where you want it.

Grey Circle and strange symbol appears where two walls meet

Are you using a wall as your wooden panel? Walls want to automatically connect to each other -- very annoying at times. If you can model this as something else, like a soffit, it would be an independent object and placed as needed. -
You could raise your roof planes.

SketchUp You can make doors with an angled top in Pro, but no way to specify the angle.

If you could post images of your problem, or even the plan, we could be more helpful.

Have you downloaded all the library catalogs? Library > Get Additional Catalogs Online When I search for "cedar" in the Library Browser it shows several shingles.

Please update when they respond.

It's because of the railing (half walls). I think it's a bug. This was discussed a few days ago. I'd send it in to tech support and see what they say.

Pro has lots of options. You should have some, if not all of these unless you have Essentials. Here is a comparison of the different products. http://www.homedesignersoftware.com/products/product-chooser.html

Post the plan for better help.

Is this what you are looking for?

Mark the gable walls as "Full Gable". See the Wall Specification dialog.

I am confused! So this is just a guess. Draw a wall down the center of the bonus room parallel to the ridge, about the center of the room. Set the back room to have a ceiling height of 6'. Build roofs. Turn off auto rebuild roofs if it is on. Delete the wall.

Take a look at this one. Should be fairly clean. I added a soffit above the front porch to hide the framing. Also created a room for the porch to get the ceiling height down. Fixed the roof return issue in front by drawing a manual roof return. Fixed a wall that wanted to protrude through the roof -- look at a Doll House view of the first floor to see it. just selected it and dragged it down.

Sounds like you know what you need better than anyone else. We'll help with the plan. Get something together and post it with a couple of questions.

I made one change that seemed to fix everything -- OK almost everything. It caused a problem, but it should be a simple fix. Looking at a Doll House view, I noticed the dining room showed walls lower than the rest of the 1st floor. I added the height of the missing second floor, floor structure, or 12 5/8" to the height of the room. I then set the Open Below room above to it's default height. This brought the walls to the correct height and corrected all the artifacts. The area over the front door needs work, but it's looking better.

It's really difficult looking at a plan like this. So many things to consider -- so many settings that have a cascading effect. And this is not a simple plan. And then there are all the things HD does, or does not do.
