What is missing when you send an elevation to layout, other than the line indicating slope of the land?
-
Do you have the ability to turn off the dimension layer instead of deleting them?
-
Are you asking about the Label, Alan? I believe there is a default Layout file, just like there is a default Plan file. Don't know if layers can be controlled by turning them off in the default, but you might try. What are you doing over here in the low rent section anyway?

Ultra White is a Benjamin Moore color. You need to download the latest bonus catalogs. Library>Get Additional Content Online

For the appliances, I moved them into the cabinets with a control drag, then adjusted the height as needed. I would do away with using the fireplace tool and instead use a solid -- soffit or slab for example, to form the interior brick wall.

Posting the plan file, or at least pictures will help us help you.

Posting an example plan will give us something to work with.

You can use File>Import to import an image into plan view. And not that it helps, but Chief Premier does not do keynotes as you describe either.

I'd email, or call and talk with sales at Chief Architect. Room Planner is intended mostly as a way of collecting dimensions from a site visit, then transferring them into Home Designer or Chief for further development.

Levels, or floor, would be a better description than layers. The software uses layers to control visibility and other visual things. You can use Edit>Edit Area>Edit Area (All Floors) to move the entire structure. You might search here a bit for moving the house vs the terrain.

Pro has multiple advantages, a big one is the ability to draw your own roof planes. If you are considering the upgrade, I'll suggest you download the trial. There is some learning, but you will be able to see what you can do with it.

What type of detailed design are you wanting?

You have small triangle shaped rooms each side of the bay. Part of what you see is a result of them.

That's a good idea. Seems like the people at Chief could create a simple registry that would allow searching for an item that was known to work. You might try contacting someone there directly.

Following the instructions above should get you to the same place as the plan. It's a Pro 2016 plan. On Windows, close Home Designer. Open Task Manager (right click on the Task Bar, select Task Manager). Scroll down looking for Home Designer. If found, select it and use the End Task button at the bottom right. Now try running 2016. You may also need to Run as Administrator, right click on the Shortcut, or program name in explorer and choose Run as Administrator.

Please attach the plan file -- otherwise we are just guessing.

Draw the bay walls. Set the room as Bath, and raise the floor. Place a break where the 2 short walls join the main wall of the house. In a camera view -- 3D or elevation taken from in the bathroom, select the interior wall and drag it down from the top. You should now see into the bump out. Select the three walls of the bump out and change them to Attic walls. This will heal the wounds in the siding. Remove the molding change flooring etc, and you should be close. The plan you posted uses a box bay window and looks like this. Are you trying to do this differently?

I see no gap. Could you post a picture of what you are seeing?

The program does not do cabinets with angled backs -- even the newest Chief Premier does not do this. You can set the depth of that cabinet so it does not extend through the wall.
