    Snap Issues

What you see is the way the program works. Normally you draw with Angle Snaps on -- at least that's how the people that developed the program think. When you turn Angle Snaps off, the cursor changes to remind you. I always leave Angle Snaps on, and never have a problem. Search Help for "pointer icons" (with the quotes) for more info.
  2. How do you spline them? You can Change Line to Arc on the straight ones, but that's not splines -- or maybe it is?
  3. I've never understood the Spline Sidewalk in Home Designer. In Chief when you create a Spline Sidewalk, you can select Advanced Splines and get additional control much like you are wanting, but this does not seem to be the case in Pro. I'd contact support and ask. The documentation is really poor in describing this feature.

    Printing Issue

Does this happen with all plans, or at least other plans?
  5. There is an awning over awning. I was thinking about Opening Indicators, but it seems Architectural does not have these.
  6. Open your window, review the available types and settings. You don't have the option for a fixed over operable unit.
  7. The title bars in layout are just CAD lines. Turn on the Drawing Sheet (not necessary, just serves to help with positioning), draw what you need, import your PDF or images, print.

    Bow window

The Home Designer website is full of articles and videos. Starting your search there will find content from the website and forum. Suggest searching for bow window.
  9. Suggest reading the docs and experimenting. Here is a link to some discussion on ChiefTalk https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/search/?&q=global symbol mapping&page=1&search_and_or=and&sortby=relevancy
  10. Global Symbol Mapping is poorly explained and poorly understood. In any case, you need to create a new material set at the proper angle for each angle.
  11. Tools menu. Display Options If something does not display as you expect, check Display Options in the view where it's missing.
  12. Is the terrain set to display (Display Options) in your 3D view?
  13. Someone will need the plan file to investigate further, but it sounds like you have tried what I would try. Do you have another PDF print driver loaded? Bullzip and CutePDF are two that are often recommended. I'd try printing using one of them as a test.
  14. It looks like Line Weights were on when you sent to layout.
  15. Taking another look at the rendering and noticed this. You may be able to do this is Architectural. In Pro it's simple using the manual roof tools.
  16. For many questions, and especially for roof related ones, having your plan file to work with is helpful. Close the program before attaching, 14MB size limit so zip and/or remove extras like furniture, cars, plants and other as required. Pro has manual roof tools and can easily do this. It has the same automatic roof tools as Architectural which I used to create what you see below. The selected wall is set to Full Gable.
  17. It's there in newer versions. None that I know of. A Pro or Chief Architect user could open and save with that setting set. You could simply redraw.
  18. Please post images directly -- no need to make a PDF of an image. This makes it easier for others -- notice how mine shows in the forum. Custom Backsplash.
  19. Open a material -- CMU or brick, for example, and review the Materials List panel. Use one of these materials on a wall in a test plan and check the materials list to see what's captured. See the Pattern and Texture panels to see how a material might be resized for a more accurate visual representation.
  20. How are you "trying to find a path"? A quick web search returns links to conversion programs.
  21. Tip: Attaching a simple plan with a cabinet that demonstrates the problem would help others help you. Mentioning that you have already sent to support would be nice too.
