  1. Thank you. I'm a new user (probably obvious) and I purchased the program to do the initial design of a home I'm planning to build. I'm not sure how I ended up with the first floor floor as slab. But, as you say I must have messed it up somewhere along the line. Do you have anything you can point me to that would show me how to manually build that floor correctly (a framed floor)?
  2. Hi, Thanks for sticking with me. I've tried 3 things related to Floor Structure. 1) Clicked in 1st floor room. Room Specification>>Structure>>Floor>>Floor Structure Definition. This shows the current floor structure as concrete 4". There are options here to select Framing, or to build a floor structure. But, seems strange to me there is no other "automated" way for the software to build a non-concrete floor. 2) I've gone Edit>>Default Settings>>Floors and Rooms>>Floor 0 and looked in the ceiling options there. Did not see anything that looked like a fix. 3) I've gone Edit>>Default Settings>>Floors and Rooms>>Floor 1 and looked at the floor options there. Here, similar to the first option the only thing I see an option to potentially manually edit the floor structure. If I need to build the floor through a manual edit, are there any instructions on that? To build floor joists, subfloor etc... Or, is there some automated way for the software to generate that type of floor? Thanks again for the help!
  3. Thank you! I'm using Home Designer Pro - 2023. (added to signature). I've looked through the help section and online videos and I've seen where to set the floor defaults. But, I've not been able to resolve this issue yet.
  4. Hi, I've built a plan with a full basement. The floor for the 1st floor is showing as concrete, when I'd expect it to be on joists, resting on basement walls. How do I change this? Thanks!
