Arched Ceiling?

Looking to arch this entryway (like attached photo) - not really obvious to me how you do this.

Not really obvious to me what you want to arch? The hallway, the transom, or just some kind of opening?

Just foyer area as you step in - like this attached photo.  Forgot I had this and should have included.

If there's a valance that looks good, you can make it as deep as the foyer. Or use a custom backslash and break it where you want to and arch it. There might be other ways, though those 2 options came to mind first

There’s probably not an easy way to do that in Home Designer Pro.  In Chief Architect Premier, you could use the curved ceiling tool; or a 3D solid for the barrel ceiling.

I may try a really deep arched door way.  Might work.  I also might draw it in Sketchup and then import.

What will you use to fill in the space between the frame, walls and ceiling?

 The best looking arch is the door entry arch, which is a custom backsplash.  BUT...it won't allow a recessed light.

The arch in the middle is a cabinet valance, and the far right is an arbor arch shape (library).
They both allow recessed lighting.

I am always amazed at simple solutions offered here by so many cluey users. The Forum is a great fall-back.

Perfect - that should work. Will try it out and post my results. Still relatively new to this app.
