Can't create sliding door on this wall

I need to add a glass sliding door on this wall under this window (where circled) but HD Pro 2024 won't let me. There was a door here under the window but at some point it seems to have disappeared and now i can't put it back. Any idea why??

I have had similar issues in the past;

I would save the window in your user library - then add a door to the wall you want - then reinsert the saved window at the appropriate floor level plan.

It looks like the sill of the window is below the ceiling/top plate height - that may have caused it to delete the door in preference and save the window with the raked head;

 A door and window wont site together in plan if they clash with height references - from my experience anyway.

I adjust window positions in elevation in preference.

Cut the window, place door, Paste/Hold Position to put the window back.

Thanks both. Deleting the window and putting everything back worked.

reason why was program will not put a door in the window in plan view.

 

NExt time place them in the wall where ever they fit and then move them to where you want.

makign sure window is at elevation to clear door and any framing you may have.
