Hi folks, Using Home Designer Pro 2025 I have a design that was created as a split level using the instructions in this article: https://www.homedesignersoftware.com/support/article/KB-02947/creating-a-split-level-structure.html This worked great originally however for various reasons we now need to change from a slab foundation to a pier and beam foundation (suspended floor) on both levels that meet the ground. I'm struggling to figure out how to change the plan so that the correct foundation is included - for starters it won't give me anything but stem walls and slabs even when I specify "grade beams on piers" in the foundation tool. What I've tried so far: rebuild the foundation as grade beam on piers - blew away all my lower level rooms (kind of expected that) Add a new "level 1" to replace the current level 0 with all the rooms from the original level 0 copied into it then rebuild the foundation - absolute disaster with all the level heights completely messed up, no foundation of any sort, and the building floating 2.7m off the ground. Tried to redo all the level heights and got it back on the ground but level 2 stuck at double height walls. The only other thought I have that I haven't tried yet is to put all three of the levels (lower ground, ground & upper) in their own plan level (so I would have level 0 with hopefully the new foundation style, level 1 as lower ground, level 2 as ground, and level 3 as the upper level). I can see this taking up a whole lot of time and most likely still not solving my problem. Anyone done this before or have an idea on how it can be done? Or is it just beyond the capability of Home Designer Pro and I'd need Chief Architect to do it?

It is auto produced by the system - you can't delete it!

Hoping someone can help here as I'm tearing my hair out. Per the image below, somehow I've developed a massive sinkhole in my terrain (see the big green bit hanging down). No matter how I adjust the elevation data around it, I can't get rid of it. It is a split level design house. I have a flat area for the middle part of the house (right of pic below), a flat area for the lower part of the house (left of pic) and a retaining wall in between. And the terrain slopes down the side of the house. Somehow this has been interpretated by the app as "build a gateway to Hades"... Thanks in advance for any help. I'm using Home Designer Pro 2025. I wanted to attach the .plan but it is too large (link to it that may work: https://app.box.com/s/rq66yv0xe7w82q3r8s0i67ym2oh3dkwy)! I've added another screen shot showing the two elevation regions with hatching (and with primary contours turned on in green).

Thanks all. I ended up reverting all my levels back to "natural" and drew the line in the elevations then set the levels back to the proposed ones. This also provided an opportunity to question some of the new levels and whether they really needed to change from what is currently there so a worthwhile exercise.

obviously. But it's not a simple block so I was hoping there is some way the tool can calculate it instead of me having to calculate all the heights, etc to draw it.

For my planning submission to council, I need to show the natural ground level (i.e. before any site works/cut and fill - not finished ground level) as a line on my elevations. I have the levels from the site survey but of course my plan (and elevations) show the finished ground level. Any idea how I can add a line that shows the natural ground level on my elevations? I'm using Home Designer Pro 2024.

Thanks both. Deleting the window and putting everything back worked.

I need to add a glass sliding door on this wall under this window (where circled) but HD Pro 2024 won't let me. There was a door here under the window but at some point it seems to have disappeared and now i can't put it back. Any idea why??
