Boeboe
I'm new to this software (Home Designer Suite 2017). I'm finishing the basement, and I'm not sure if I should draw interior walls along the perimeter inside the concrete foundation. The drawing shows a dotted line there and objects seem to snap to it, so I'm wondering if the stud wall is automatically added for me. What would experienced users recommend as the best way to represent a stud wall with drywall just inside the foundation wall?

solver
The program does not automatically add walls. If you want to see for yourself, take a camera (3D) view of the space. Drawing in a separate wall is how it should be drawn, but Suite has limited wall types, and you may not be able to perfectly model what will be built. -------------- Resources for self help: The built in Help System (always a good place to start) Getting Started Knowledge Base YouTube
DavidJPotter
Also if you want those exterior walls to appear to be foundation walls in plan view go to their wall specification dialog boxes - Foundation Tab and program the walls to have footings using that tab. FrancesSD
The way I do this is to select the define wall box and add copy the foundation wall, rename it and then add a drywall layer to the interior of the foundation wall based on the info from the interior wall definition.
