DavidJPotter Posted October 1, 2016 Share Posted October 1, 2016 Creating a second floor to serve as unfinished attic space additionally requires you to name that space via the Room Specification Dialog as "Attic" which will change the floor joists for that space to 2x6's. Otherwise the software will give that add that space to area a living area calculation and make the floor joists as thick as the other floors. just keep in mind that room names are also programing commands.
