TayBill
Any suggestions on how to model a "trap door" in a first floor, going to the basement/crawl space?
DavidJPotter
I would use a shaped soffit (cabinet tools) to emulate-represent the floor-door. I suppose you might find something to download from 3D Warehouse as well but that is up to you. DJP

solver
I'm guessing you want a trap door as in, pull that rug back -- there's a trap door that leads to the cellar and you can hide down there -- type of trap door. Make a room with the room divider tool outlining the hole. Make the room open below. Make the door from a soffit. Apply the appropriate finish to the soffit.
katalyst777
I can't say that I've ever seen how a trap door is typically represented on a floor plan, but for camera views, you can create an Open Below room, use a Soffit the same Height as the hole in the floor and with the same material as the flooring in the room, and place a handle separately from the Library Browser and throw in a ladder or add some stairs. 1
