  1. Right click on the plan>click send to>compressed folder
  2. It means what it says, the file is missing, either it was deleted, saved to a different location or you don't have that texture in your library. Click on it and change the texture, material etc: or do what the error message says to do.
  3. In Suite you have to use the break wall tool to get different materials for each wall in a room. Look at your plan and see how the walls are connected.
  4. Yes it can be done in Suite. Use the break wall tool and Gable the front wall, raise the ceiling height, adjust the overhang both Eave and Gable.

LOL you got something thats waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay out there. You have zoom out until see only specs, click on them and delete them.
  6. You can't insert .skp files into the core catalog folder. What you have to do is add it to your user catalog. Click file>Import>3d Symbol- it goes to where you downloaded the file, click on the file and it should open in your plan. Then click on the Symbol and then click on the icon with the 2 books and the plus sign. The program will add it to your User Catalog. What goes to Core, Bonus and Manufacture catalogs are files the end with .calib, .calibz
  7. SAILOR how you create it in Sketchup is how it shows in HD. If you create on the y axis@45 degrees thats how it show. In Suite you are limited to how you rotate something, in Pro your not. Pro can rotate on the x, y, z axis, Suite does not. You said it yourself, you didn't know how to use the software, that's why you have the issues. Learn how the program works and it's capabilities. Your asking to do something Suite does not do.
  8. Your right, since you did not know how use the program it took you that long. It does rotate on the z, y, and x axis, you only needed to rotate the sides, the top and bottom just needed to be reversed or rotated. You take the molding and rotate for the left side and save as leftside, take the same file that was saved and rename it rightside.
  9. Did you download the plan? The Barrel roof can only be used with Dormers, open the specification box and click the roof type. For the Door(s) you will have use an Arch thats created by you or downloaded from 3d warehouse etc. The KB tutorals are specific to what you want to create. You have to build the house first and then ask the "How do" questions. If your interested take a peak here: http://www.architecturaldesigns.com/french-country-house-plan-14127kb.asp
  10. scott65, I know what your talking about, for some reason the software adds 12 inches to the first floor room(s). If you disconnect/reconnect walls on the second floor, the software will add 12 inches sometimes 24 inches to first floor room (s) A fix is to turn on the reference tool, go to the second floor and disconnect walls that are within the first floor room (s). Then go the first floor open the room specification box make your changes, go back to the second floor and reconnect the second floor walls. Make sure second floor walls are aligned with the first floor, that helps to eliminate the problem.
  11. Katalyst, yes can, but as you said, this is what may happen if you do. the only thing(s) that need to be moved is your personal stuff that's created. That's why you do a clean install, instead of copying the program from one to the other. Less chance for problems to accure.
  12. That one was easy. Removed the roof for the slab, set first floor ceiling heights to defaults. added terrain perimeter. New2-1.plan
  13. Yes, Install the software on the external and then copy the saved files to it. Keep in mind, you will need to activate/deactivate the license.
  14. You will have to use SketchUP to get the angle you want. Also it helps if you are more specific with your questions. To add on to your first question. The software does not import to the library, you have to add to it. Only these catalogs show up in room specification box(s) Core Content Bonus Content Manufacture Content thats downloaded from the Homedesigner site.
  15. You can't access it from the Room spec box, you have go to your user catalog, click on it and insert into the room. If you want change the casings for windows and doors open the specification box(s) and uncheck casing(s) for the Interior and Exterior.
  16. Use a soffit for your ceilings and it does allow trusses, Sketchup and 3d Warehouse is a good place to start.
  17. Click on the wall and open it's specifation box, uncheck Full Gable wall. It would be more helpful, If you could post the plan.
