I'm trying to add finished walls up against my basement foundation walls.  I can't seem to add walls up against a foundation wall and if I just modify the wall type it also adjusts the spread footer under the foundation wall.  Plus the later isn't technically accurate.  What's most accurate is building a wall up against the foundation wall, how do I do that?

Answers often depend on which title (Suite, Pro etc) and version (2018, 2019 etc) you are using.

You can help everyone by adding that info to your signature (see below for how to turn them on) by clicking on your user name at the top right of the page, click Account Settings, then Signature on the left.

Doing so makes it always available, and keeps others from having to hunt for it.

And, turn on signature display too.

I'm not seeing that problem.

Post your plan file for the best help. Close the software first.

I've found a sort of a work around by making walls and moving them into place against the foundation.

How else would you do it?

I believe you can also create a new wall type or edit the foundation wall type to include additional layers of studs, insulation, sheetrock, etc.  I have not tried this but can't see why it won't work.

regards.
