2chocolatedogs
I'm new to this program and cadd in general. I noticed that when I place an electrical 110v outlet into a plan the symbol is really large in scale to the plan in general. My question is "Can the 110v outlet symbol be resized ? DavidJPotter
If you mean "in a camera view" they are precisely the right size for camera views. In terms of plan view they are a manageable size and that size cannot be changed by any Home Designer software title. Their plan view size is compatible with AIA, AIBD and other drafting standards so no change in size is contemplated to a non-standard size. Fredric
The symbols seem to auto resize & stay readable in different contexts. Such as; when I changed a drawing scale or send to a layout. I'm using the Pro version as first time owner-builder and the learning curve is there, even with prior training and experience with other CADD apps. I'm electrician close to retirement and wish the product would let me place a outlet on a ceiling and the side of island cabinets, but accept that with the automation of 3d features no product does everything. I expect to grab a pen and hand draw a few details on the prints before handing them to our building dept.
solver
@Fredric -- You can always start a new thread with questions. Things like placing an outlet on an island are doable.
LawB10
To place outlets on a cabinet sidewall, you draw a half wall and resize it to the lowest width the program allows. As for the ceiling ???????
