I'd make a copy of the plan, then delete the unwanted structure.
If you have Edit > Edit Area, you could use that to copy the new part.
You might also define different wall types if Suite is capable. Walls that look the same, but use differently named materials so you could tell new vs old in the materials list.

At the top of each Knowledge Base article, there is a list of the titles the article applies to.

I believe DJP has a video showing how to do this on YouTube. A bit of searching should find it.

Turn off Auto Build Roofs.

To add a suggestion after watching David's video.
Save a copy of the template file before you make any changes.

I've made changes to the default Plan Template so each new plan automatically has them.
I bet you can do the same with the default Layout Template. Open it, add your title block, then save.
I'm off to work, but a bit of searching here on the Forum should provide more details.
Also check the Knowledge Base for info.

In a camera view, select the upper or lower section of a pony wall and drag the height up or down.
Or use a cross section view where you will get dimensions when you adjust.

SSA is not available for the Home Designer titles -- only for Chief Architect

Did you try drawing the invisible wall on the foundation level?
-
Are you asking if Home Designer/Chief Architect has rights to images you create using their software?
The answer is no. They belong to you to do with as you wish.

You could place a room divider in your terrain. Place your lighting on this wall. Adjust its placement as needed, then select the wall and lighting and move them to your terrain wall.

Here is the plan done using a second floor.

I'm sure these could be done with Auto Build Roofs on. I'd start by building a blank 2nd floor with a 0" height. Draw in rooms as needed, and set the front wall to full gable.
But these are also easy to do manually if you go step by step, and good practice.
I don't do video like DJP, but these images should get you started.

With Pro, the easy solution is to manually draw in the roof plane you need.
I don't know what it's supposed to look like, roof pitch etc, but I've attached your plan with the shed roof in place.

I just looked and could not find the thread I was remembering. The knowledge base was no help either.
I'm not sure it can be done using Interiors, but someone else will need to confirm.

Did you use the lattice from the bonus library Kat referred to?

When you finish changing things in the DBX, make sure to TAB out of the last text box. Then verify your settings. If you just click OK to save and exit the DBX, you risk not seeing changes the program makes as a result of your last entry.
If you can reproduce the problem, post the plan here with instructions on how to duplicate the problem.

And this it the Tips & Techniques forum where one might post a Tip or Technique. Questions go in Q&A.
Lots of good videos on YouTube. Watch, play with software, watch again.
Rail Cap Issue

My image above shows a normal interior wall -- not a half wall, set to a solid railing. Using the default profile.plan slightly modified.
