  1. Tip: Attaching a simple plan with a cabinet that demonstrates the problem would help others help you. Mentioning that you have already sent to support would be nice too.
  2. I'd send your plan to support. https://support.chiefarchitect.com/home
  3. Working in the library, you can simply copy a material and rename it.
  4. No, and it's been requested more than once.
  5. The program has a bunch of defaults. When you have a material assigned as a default, it shows up. Some materials, I think, are built in with no way to remove them.
  6. Upgrade to Pro 2023. Search the forum for similar questions -- asked and answered multiple times before. You cannot increase the page size but there is a workaround. Look at your dimension locate settings, and you can add/remove nodes manually on any dimension string.
  7. Lots of info in the Status Bar.
  8. Think about the tools you have available. Which ones let you apply a molding?
  9. Needs to be done manually.

    Restore Plan View

Sounds like a bug to me. Home Designer lacks user accessible layer sets like your Framing Layer Set. What happens if you save and then open the plan? If this persist, I'd send in to Chief or give them a call.

    Terrain cursor...

    Search Help for Pointer Icons
  12. You are asking about a frieze? Experiment with a Custom Backsplash. Tip: They may be selected, then reflected, copied and moved to another wall etc.

You might try a soffit or slab or shape from the library instead of a cabinet.

Make a copy of the brick material, change the direction and give it a new name.

    Fascia/Eave design.

    That's all it is.

    Fascia/Eave design.

This is what I was thinking. I'd clean this up by changing the structure of the roof planes used for the fascia. Adjust the angle of the fascia by changing the pitch of the roof planes.

    Fascia/Eave design.

I'd work with stacked roof planes as you suggested.
  18. I'd go buy an inexpensive surface to use as a drafting table, a T-square, a couple of triangles, some pencils and a good eraser and be done Before you get too far into the basic structure, you might want to experiment with deck railings. Done manually.
