RNDesign
How do I create a curved or "barrel" ceiling in Home Designer Pro. I am currently using Home Designer Pro 2021 on a MacBook Pro using MacOS Catalina v 10.15.
solver
Pro lacks a curved roof/ceiling plane tool. You can create one by using a dormer, explode the dormer and move the roof into position. Or, you can draw small planes varying the pitch on each to simulate a curve.
y-g-m-n
Would this be something the programmers ever add to HD PRO? Sure would like to have some barrel ceilings to sow the boss (wife) what it could look like.
Rookie65
I agree. What I usually do is start with a valance and make it as thick as the porch or whatever it's going over. Or shape a custom backsplash and make the depth and material to be what the ceiling is. Then "Transform/Replicate" it just a couple of inches and make it the color of what the exterior trim is supposed to be. That gives it a cap while the rest of it is the ceiling material.
