Is there a better way or am I correct ?

Recommended Posts

Question , I have created a layout page with border and page number etc. then I send to layout my drawing on tabloid size ,  print the page then highlight the drawing pull off of layout page and then send next page to layout change page number etc. and print and repeat until all pages are printed . Am I doing this right or is there another way ?

The other common way is to copy the plan file for each layout page needed. Advantage is layers don't need to change after the first setting, but plan changes need to be propagated manually.

House Plan Electrical

House Plan Framing

etc

So in other words the way I do it is common because I could not find anywhere an explanation on how to change layout pages.

Thanks.

I have no info on how others do this, but see nothing wrong with it, if it works for you.

I suspect making multiple copies of the plan is more common because you have a record of each page instead of having to recreate one if ever needed.

Pro allows 1 layout page per plan file, so you must do some sort of workaround to create multiple pages.

I create a template.layout file and then do a "save-as" copy for use for other pages for a particular project.
