Cabinets disappear in Layout-Elevation View PDF

Recommended Posts

I'm having problem with disappearing cabinets when I send my layout to pdf.  The cabinets in a mudroom bench design appear in Layout view (I've tried both vector & technical views), but once I send to PDF, the upper cabinets disappear in the PDF.

I'm not sure why this is happening, as it has never been a problem before. Any help is greatly appreciated!

You will need to post your plan for someone to check.

Layout doesn't help.

Did you try zipping the plan?

You could also make a copy, then delete all the furniture, cars etc.

A layout file is only useful for others to view IF the .plan file is also shared (the .layout file reads dynamically the plan file or files associated with it, so no plan file will = a blank .layout file always). That is why the .plan file is vitally important in terms of evaluating what is happening. You might  consider sharing a copy of the .plan file using Dropbox, One Drive or Google Drive. This way the file size is not important and is easier than an e mail attachment or forum attachment which have size limitations

Using your saved camera and sending to a new layout, here is what I get.

I'm using Chief Premier, but it should work the same.

Check your Layer Display Options in Layout. Make sure everything is on that should be.

As a PDF.

You might try a different PDF printer, or send the plan to Chief.

Hmm, ok. I just downloaded Adobe Trial so that may have messed things up for me. Thank you for your help!
