Dimensioning Wall Moldings in Elevation View

Hi, I am dimensioning a bathroom, and need to specify the height of the pencil moldings in the shower, but I haven't been able to get my program to locate them. After drawing a manual dimension line along the height of the wall, I click on the dimension line so I can place a new marker, so it will locate the molding, but it won't let it stay where I put it. It's as if it doesn't see the room's chair rail molding. Any tips on how to do this other than draw each one manually? Thanks. Macbook Pro 2020 Homedesigner Pro2021

    Room Planner App

Why did the Room Planner App get discountinued? I loved that app for measuring projects. What are people using to replace it for measuring projects? Thanks
  8. I would love to be able to dimension shelving inside cabinets for clients, and to have the ability to dimension cabinet doors on full height cabinets. Other than having to manually create a dimension, it would be nice to be able select that option when on the Dimensioning Defaults Locate Objects. Is there any way to do this without individually creating each shelf or door measurement? Thank you. -Tiffany

  11. In HDPro 2019, I use to be able to pan in plan view by hitting command and holding down on my mouse or track pad on my Mac laptop. Now I have to hit "P" and then hold down on my mouse or trackpad, which is way more of a hassle. Did HDPro change this with the update or am I missing something?
  12. The plan I'm working on has a powder bath that is slightly wider than the staircase above it. The powder bath's ceiling follows the staircase, and I am at a loss as to how to draw this correctly. I have posted the plan and some pictures. Thank you so much for any help! Home Designer Pro 2018 Plan Templates Issues

Ok, starting a new plan and wanted to use one of the default templates, but some of the templates are missing all of a sudden, and many of the ones that do show-up won't let me select inches as my default measurement, only metric. Any advice? -TiffanyH512 Home Designer Pro 2018 Mac OS 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7

Home Designer Pro 2018 Plan Templates Issues

Hi, yes, I was able to get them back. I think that the files are being pushed to the cloud, and so they are not there when Home Designer Pro opens up. I went to my documents folder in Finder, and opened the Home Designer Pro file, then the templates file, and downloaded any missing plans. That did the trick! Good luck!
  15. I am working on a 3 story deck on a very sloped lot. The ground patio is going to be cantilevered 3'6" over the existing foundation. I am having difficulty with this, as the foundation keeps building under this part of the concrete patio. Is there a way to do this on a first floor? Thank you.

Cantilever Patio 3 1/2' Beyond Foundation on Sloped Lot 1st Floor

I changed the room specification to deck, manually deleted the posts and footings, and apply correct materials to flooring for project. That seemed to do the trick! Thanks!

Not able to create rooms in second story over patio

Thank you, your video was very helpful.
  18. I am drawing a covered patio with a second story deck & third story deck above it. I can generate the second story, but it won't create the rooms, even though I have the walls, railings and room division lines connecting. Will rooms not generate over invisible walls or railings over 1st floor? Thank you!

    Custom Vector Pattern

Does anyone know how to make a custom vector pattern for a tile in wall elevation view? I am doing a master bath shower elevation drawing, and no pattern matches what the random linear tile actually looks looks like. Thanks!

2 Roof Styles in one 2 story Structure

I have a two story house, with a dormer in one bedroom and a full height ceiling in the remaining rooms on the second story. How do I create the type of roof that incorporates these two different roof styles (1 1/2 story & 2 story) without changing the entire 2nd story roof style or height? I try to create a 1 1/2 story roof for the dormer bedroom, but then I don't know how to change the roof designs (& ceiling heights) of the other rooms on the 2nd story without changing the roof/ceiling height in the dormer room. What is the best way to attain two different roof styles on one structure? Thank you! Heffernan_Residence.plan.zip
