mitzie
I am trying to create modern stair rail such as cable or glass. I cant seem to do it with half walls and such. If I select balusters in fencing it shows as perpendicular to the stairs. How do I create glass or cable railing? I'm using HDA 2014

DavidJPotter
Home Designer Pro has the ability to draw stair railings manually (Check " Follow Stairs" on the Rail Style Tab), Architectural does NOT have this ability. Using it you can have any rail style or panels in your LIbrary Browser. DJP
LawB10
Using a Half Wall, place it a 1" or so on the stair. Open the specification box and make your changes, to get the glass, change it from solid to panel and then click materials>panel, click select material and change to glass. To get the cable rails you have to use a object from 3d warehouse and then edit the object in Sketchup.
