TomDesign
I would like to build a decorative stone arch above a garage door. This would have the stones placed vertical in a low arch over the double garage door with horizontal stones going up the right and left of the door and extending above the arch. I searched and did not see how to do this. Any links or hints/instructions would be appreciated.
solver
I've used a lintel, and casing that is larger than normal here. Just changed the materials to brick. You may not need the lintel, i wanted something to be proud of the casing. You should be able to do the same with whatever material you choose. TomDesign
How would one bend the lintel into an arch shape? Yes, it would need to be proud of the rest of the wall, but only by about 2". I don't remember seeing a lintel in the program, but it makes sense there is one. katalyst777
Unfortunately, the main article I found on creating a soldier course with steps for an arch only applies to Chief, so I suspect the best we can do in Home Designer is to import something similar.
