ChrisO
How do I copy and paste an entire building structure? I've looked everywhere for guidance, but can't find it. Version:- HDA 2016
conqueso
You can create a copy of your plan by doing File> Save As and give the copy a different name.
solver
Explain a bit about what you are trying to do. With Pro, I have Edit>Edit Area>Edit Area (All floors). Do you?
DavidJPotter
If you need to make a copy of a building within the same plan, you can use the "Edit Area" tool (Edit - Edit Area) to copy single story buildings into the same plan file. For multi-story buildings you would have to copy other floors than the first floor using "Edit Area" but manually one floor at a time. This is true in all titles except Home Designer Pro that additionally has an "Edit Area All Floors" command that other Home Designer titles do not have. ChrisO
OK, that seems to work. It's a bit of a faff though. Can't really see why the "whole building" feature is disabled in the non-Pro versions.
