RollingStone
I have two porches with shed roofs and each has a 12" overhang on the right side of the roof. I found a kludgy way where I make the deck 1 foot smaller, build the roof and then make the deck larger all with auto roof turned off. I set the overhang to 0" on the three deck walls and the one external wall and I still get this 12" overhang.
Kbird1
you have less options in Suite but it sounds like something else is controlling the overhang for some reason , but overhangs should never be 0" as that will cause the fascia to pull into the wall through the siding into the sheathing, try 1 1/2 " then the siding will be behind/not touching the Fascia. Posting the plan is the quickest way to get good answers.
RollingStone
I posted a .jpg showing the offending roof. Changed over hang to 1 1/2" but something is still overriding this.
Kbird1
you may have found the only solution in Suite ? but I can't try anything for you without your plan , to see your settings....
solver
Here is an idea to play with. Build 2 rooms. The small one on the right uncheck Roof Over This Room.
Kbird1
I have no problem at 1" on a two Storey House but on a one Storey you will run into what I call the 12" bug possibly, see pics. since yours is two storey I don't know if it is just Suite or not ?
RollingStone
Thanks for the ideas. I'll try adding a 1 foot room with no roof. Maybe this is some version of the 12" bug?

LawB10
RollingStone, You have to change the overhang on each wall, I used a 1" overhang for each wall.
SAILOR139
Suite PC I have specified 16" overhang. The roof generator created 16", 3' and 4'. What can I do to correct this? Better yet, why doesn't Chief Architech fix these bugs. Thanks
