1. Rebuild foundation, and don't alter it. 2. Turn ON Auto Rebuild Roof. 3. Under the toolbar EDIT, Reset defaults (all floors roof directives in walls). With the floor plan the ACTIVE window > TOOLBAR>Tools>Display. Uncheck dimensions auto and dimensions manual. Uncheck roof planes, roof baselines. Uncheck room labels, room interior area and dimensions and standard area. Lastly, on the toolbar under VIEW, uncheck reference Grid. The plan should now look very uncluttered. Do a 3d perspective view, and tile it vertically. Select exterior walls you know are gable walls, and set them. Pay attention to what changes in the 3D view.

Getting everything reset in the plan, and cleaning up all the clutter, will help help get you back on track with the plan. I can help.

REALLY PEOPLE?! One small shed roof problem hardly seems tp be a justified reason to upgrade to PRO for hundreds of dollars more!! BraveUserMike, simply needs to work on so many things done wrong on the plan, to get closer to the solution. I've been looking at the plan, and it is hard to decipher what needs to change. Working om it.

It's good to finally see more of what the real roof looks like. And it also includes gable walls that were never mentioned before. I think it is time for you to upload the plan file, with accurate dimensions...for anyone to be able to help some more.

The porch floor should be extending to the opposite wall. I'm not seeing that in the pic you posted.
-
It is OK that the porch slab continues to the west side wall. You can cover that up with a new "planter". The room divider wall has now made the porch a "room", and that is correct. Open the room dialog box, and lower the floor of the room. No one should need to tell you this. That is what the video tutorials, knowledge base articles, and reference manual is for.
-
The room divider wall closing off the porch is ok.

In your previous posts, you were progressing well. Now you are regressing. Some of the advice given recently, does NOT apply to the "Suite" product. The product is mostly meant to provide a visual 3D image presentation. Your real house is already existing. Use a soffit or a closed box shape (library), sized for the column, and add stucco material to it. DONE. Why would you EVER use half-walls to create a planter, which is now a "room"??? Once again, use a soffit or closed box shape to create the planter. DONE.
-
You are doing much better! A pic of the front of the real house, would help us to see what the roof is supposed to look like.
-
What you have posted, is way too poor for anyone to guess at what is needed for the existing house roof. As Rookie65 said, the front of the house should be parallel to the bottom of your screen. Fix your plan. It is the terrain that gets rotated and adjusted to the house. ???

Here is another snip pic of the house. This is only meant to be an example, to show you what you can create with your software, (with practice and experimenting). I did not save the plan file.

The double-sided firebox is a fireplace screen, with it's depth altered. Everything else is done with closed box shapes.
-
Something like this?
-
I guess I am not understanding the problem? There is base molding in the room; There is crown molding in the room; The firebox (with feet) is raised off the floor; There is no base molding below the firebox.
-
Did you put the pass-thru "floor to bottom" at 0"?
-
Delete the base molding, then add new crown molding.

What you ask for on the forum, is too extensive for any in depth replies. You need to watch the video tutorials, https://www.homedesignersoftware.com/videos/ and then practice and experiment until you understand how the software works. That design is very complicated for someone new to the software. To answer your question, "Is it possible?" Yes. And it CAN be modeled using only the auto build roof tools, that Suite and Architectural offer.
-
In the 2nd pic, it looks like you were able to build the steps. To add more info about that, Suite does allow custom landings, but that is not necessary. -Draw the 1st 2 bottom steps; allow space for a landing; draw the set of 6 steps; allow space for a landing; draw the final step. Click at the top and bottom of the 6 steps, and the landings should automatically generate. Looking at the space you have, and depending on ceiling height, the step riser height will be a steep, almost 9". For the closet beneath the stairs, like Rookie65 said, draw an interior wall and drag it under the stairs.

Thank you for filling out your signature, showing your product and it's version.

Unfortunately, you will have to turn auto roof build back on. The red "hatched" walls show the new addition walls. NONE of the 2nd floor walls should have "no room definition" checked. Only the attic walls will have that checked.
-
The walls you can't delete are attic walls having "no room definition". You need to draw ALL new walls on the existing 2nd floor (for the addition) and make sure where they connect to an existing 2nd floor wall,is NOT an "attic" wall, or you will NOT get a "room" (with a floor).

Big guessing game.
