  1. You guys actually picked up a ton of new features from the premiere line that are big productivity tools. As stated earlier, easy to export as dae and get raytrace rendering in twinmotion which is free. See new features: https://www.homedesignersoftware.com/whats-new/#whats-new-summary
  2. I think raytracing is always going to remain in the premiere line. You can always export your model and raytrace in Twinmotion

    you must be using the same camera, instead, duplicate the camera and annotate that view
  5. thats pretty typical with cross platform design, thats why many of us either learn and hold licenses in many softwares or become very proficient in one so as to recreate it. Ultimately it's beneficial to find an architectural designer that utilizes Chief. You can always pay a technician to build the model for you

  8. Turn off auto build roofs and start manually editing your roof planes. Alternatively Chief supports roof groups so the roof on the garage/addition will build independently of the main roof
  9. Skp mesh isnt editable in Home Designer so most of us would just redraw the building as it would be quick enough to do for a proficient technician. Otherwise you might have to give sketchup a try. What is the scope of your work on this project?>
  10. Sorry, I’ll try and be more clear..home designer and chief have an internal symbol mapping that happens within the software separate from a base UV map being applied to a mesh. This is by intent in order to expedite the process of complicated mapping on cabinet doors but when you export, this internal UV remapping is no longer applied and the base UV map is exported. This is expected behavior. You would need someone in the chief premier line make you a custom door symbol if you wanted the stiles and rails independently mapped.
  11. how do you intend to achieve this in real-world conditions? If you are not building a step, are you building rake walls?
  12. You would need to assign a unique UV, as-in a unique material. DAE format groups components based on UV, so even though chief has some internal function to rotate UV's, the export will not follow the UV orientation based on export. Create a new material to apply to the panels separate from your rails and stiles

    HERE ARE SOME GENERAL PRICE BREAKDOWNS FOR RENDERINGS DONE OUTSIDE OF CA: Here is a breakdown of LOD(level of detail) ranges from 1-5 1-CA PBR renderings: do not apply 2-Semi-Photorealistic: building only, some entourage, low resolution HDR background image or fog, 720p (not suitable for print media) 3-Photorealistic(camera phone quality): 150 passes with 50% optix denoising, short line of site (distance cut off in background). 1080p resolution(optimized for web pages, suitable for budget print/flyers etc) 4-Photorealistic: 450 passes with 20% optix denoising. 1080p or 2k resolution, post processing in photoshop/lightroom/procreate (suitable for print media). 5-Photorealistic: 500-3000 passes with 20 % optix denoising, 1080p up to 8k resolution. post processing in photoshop/lightroom/procreate. Suitable for large monitor presentations/galleries..can be indiscernible from photography. Setup would be $400 per zone for LOD 3-5($200 for LOD 2), a zone being the front of the house or an open liv rm/din/kitchen, or an attached kitchen/bath, LOD 3 at roughly $100 per image per zone, LOD 4 at $300 per image per zone. LOD 5 I need to quote. Assuming a zone setup fee, a 6 second animation from 1 camera to the next within 1 zone at 30 frames per second on LOD 3 would be $500. I've attached a 3 second animated GIF to give you an example. Higher LOD I would need to quote. a Spherical rendering at 4k+ resolution for VR headsets is two zones-$800 at LOD 4 at 4k-$400 per rendering... obviously if both adjoining zones are already paid for than you are just paying for the image only.
