don't really know sketchup , but can't you Orbit the item in 3D just like here in HD and look at the top of it? don't know exactly which model you got from that page above so can't try it at the moment sorry. M.

was trying to figure out if what is happening is on my end or the forums ,although it is happening since new forum unless I turn off emoticons in the "more reply options " box , this automatically takes you to the Full editor by the way using IE10 ......testing enable emoticons = off

Certainly not upset at anyone here , but as David says people are lazy and wont read the Ref.manual/help , so I was hoping Chief wouldn't continue the status quo, but they have... so I was hoping new users ( and old) would see this post and hopefully fill in their Sigs. Have noticed now that when in a post or replying it always says 0.0.0 but on the front page of the forums it usually shows the no# of and Users online.<br /><br />M.

yep its been like this since 2007 when I joined and by now I'd think you'd be more than happy if it had been required , you need your ID to get to your digital locker so why isn't the info auto tagged to your UserName ? or just ask users to add a version no# when then fill in their new profile the 1st time? simple...<br /><br />You even have a form email/forum notice you post on all those new user threads, be nice not to have do that wouldn't it? and really shouldn't be necessary as nobody ever reads the "how to get good answers" post or others posted by Chief unfortunately.<br /><br />Was/Am just trying to save you,me and all the other Forum "Helpers" a lot of time and frustration.

I think you only need to login once per 24hrs as long as you don't sign out , you can close your browser and comeback and it will sign your in auto-magically...<br /><br />it is showing me and one other member and 1 guest here tonite....

the Jpgs HD titles produce are pretty low quality , it may work better with a .png file you could also Print to PDF which should give a much better image as well , you can usually set the DPI in PDF files but not sure how 2014 handles PDF .<br /><br />M.

you can also use "Shapes" from the Library and cover them with Culture or other stone , have a look in the Cupola Continued thread I posted some posts there for Evolution to use ,you can download them if wanted to see how it is done with shapes at least. You could just explode the Block and delete the wooden post and trim too. resize them etc but it is pretty simple once you see how.<br /><br />M.

not sure about the Mac version or 2015 Titles but the Standard download only used to contain the Program and the Core library , you needed to download the Bonus Libraries and Manufacturers libraries separately, either directly or by updating the Catalog for each Library in the Lirary Browser , you will need to check the Ref. Manual for your version. All the Library files ( in Windows) come in .calibz format . the .plan extension is used for all your Plans only. there are also .layout files , in Pro at least. did you download all the libraries? the bonus libraries etc? forgot there was a Mac version now so wasn't aware .skp wasn't an option.. are your libraries .calibz (chief) format?

as David said above their display maybe turned off in the layer display options ( icon looks like a square with a check mark on it) but you may also need to build the Roof framing/trusses and have their display option on too in the view you are in. BTW Trusses do not build automatically at least for me in Pro 10 , not sure about in your version. M.

Another case of know what to put into the search engine....boulder got me nothing ...rock got me those 3 in Pro 10 and another 7 images of rocks in the Images library I had never seen before and a Rock Pond in of all places the Statuary Library along with the Gnome and Buddha head

curious.....so in the newer versions you can set decimal places in Imperial (US) plans? and it will actually display as 9.75ft ? not that I'm sure why you would do this ? except for elevation data , nobody works in decimal feet that I have seen ? maybe I am just lucky ? decimal feet are a PITA working onsite and only having a standard tape measure for sure. you can turn all snaps on or off under edit> snap objects and using the control key when moving items allows the selected item to move anywhere regardless of the snaps being on or off too M..

there are Basalt Columns , not sure about rocks as I don't do a lot of landscape stuff. yes, you can import files from the Trimble 3D warehouse in .skp format
