You seem to be using all the default settings. You simply need to adjust a few things.
I mentioned in the video you probably need to set the stemwall height when you build the foundation. You can either rebuild the foundation with the correct height, or you can open the room on Floor 0 and change the height there.
You have built a terrain and its height needs to change. Open the terrain specification and move it up. Click the Help button at the bottom of that dialog for more info.
And just so you know, the blocks you see are not really blocks. That's just an image of block and may or may not be an accurate representation.

I'm guessing you want to move the pocket to the opposite side of the opening.

For what it's worth, left click doesn't work when you are creating moldings out of soffit with a perspective camera view.
What doesn't work? You can select a soffit in perspective view via a click.

Are there significant updates and/or enhancements to the layouts capabilities of Pro 2024 vs Pro 2023?
Your question is best directed to those at Chief Architect via the Sales Related Questions section here on the forum, email or phone.

You might ask specific questions about your workflow. Have you reviewed applicable articles and videos?

Then don't.
Click (left click) to select, only right click if you want the Context Menu.

Agree, I clicked on the soffit (vertical trim on the window)
Are you right clicking?
-
That's a contextual (context) menu. Like in most every other application, it's accessed by right clicking on something.

Sinks need a base cabinet to insert into.
Place a base cabinet, set the height to 0" and remove the Toe Kick.
Add your sink and custom countertop.
The sink will auto center over the cabinet. To move it, select the cabinet, Tab to select the sink.

For this type of question, someone really needs the plan file to work with, and to understand exactly where the wall should locate.

I'm unfamiliar with how to zip files, is that what I should have done?
That's the first thing to try.
Close Pro, then ...
On Windows (don't know about a Mac, and I forgot to suggest you add that info to your signature) right click on a file, choose Send To, then Compressed (zipped) folder.
If it's still too big, make a copy and delete things that are unneeded, furniture, cars, plants etc.

For some reason pre-drawn plans will not show the changes made in default settings after having been done.
Some defaults are dynamic, some are not.
The video shows changing existing walls to reflect your wants.

I'm using manual dimensions in the video, but you can Auto Dimension first, then edit those dimensions to do what I show.

Please post images directly -- no need to make a PDF of an image. This makes it easier for others as an image shows in the forum.
Making and attaching a really simple plan that demonstrates the problem would be helpful. Lots of different settings and ways of doing things.
One room over one room, deck on 2nd floor. Framing built as you would build it etc.

In the video I show a Toggle Patterns tool. It may be found under the 3D menu.
Architectural and Pro allow toolbar customization. Right click on a toolbar and choose Customize Toolbars. You may create new toolbars containing tools you frequently use and place them where you like.
Toolbars will float -- drag into the drawing window, and dock in various places like the sides of the window.
