CONTEMPoraryMan
I am having a hard time getting roof lines to work on my home design. It is a contemporary home with long sloping roofs overhanging. Maybe someone can mark up the attached screen shots to help me select the right walls that should be 'full gable walls' and which ones are 'high shed walls". Some walls are the high walls & gable walls in some instances. Is it even possible? did i read i can manually draw the roof? sean Home Designer 2023

Jeff. the outside pic is an rendering from an architect. I want to replicate in the home designer software, which seems difficult with tthe lower end version. One wall for instance is the top of the shed slope while also the downward slope of the other roof line
Rookie65
Again, which version of the Home Designer software do you have, Suite, Architectural, or Pro????
Solution Jo_Ann Posted April 17 Solution Share Posted April 17 What you ask for on the forum, is too extensive for any in depth replies. You need to watch the video tutorials, https://www.homedesignersoftware.com/videos/ and then practice and experiment until you understand how the software works. That design is very complicated for someone new to the software. To answer your question, "Is it possible?" Yes. And it CAN be modeled using only the auto build roof tools, that Suite and Architectural offer.
CONTEMPoraryMan
That is great to see, I have tried the videos, including some of the more indepth ones. I just need to find the right way without having to build multiple walls. Glad to see it can be done. I do have Home Designer suite 2023, so i hope you were able to do this in that program. I would pay a few $ via paypal for that design if i can load it into suite

Jo_Ann
Here is another snip pic of the house. This is only meant to be an example, to show you what you can create with your software, (with practice and experimenting). I did not save the plan file.
