PhilCrane
I am running Home Designer Architecture 2025 and am having a problem with soffits. I can create a simple soffit along a wall and it shows up in every 3D Camera view except for the Framing Overview. I have tried turning on all of the framing options under Display Options but still no luck. I'm sure I'm missing something obvious but I don't know what! Any ideas? Thanks, Phil

PhilCrane
I was using soffits to create a tray ceiling (as per one of the videos). A tray ceiling requires framing so is there another way to create it? Thanks
solver
Forum search for tray ceiling should show some options. Why do you need/want to show framing? Boxing down to create a tray is normally not structural, and any framer will know how to do one.
PhilCrane
Ok, thanks. I just assumed it would show it as part of the lumber requirements. Thanks for your responses.
Jo_Ann
If you create the tray using room divider walls, the framing will show.
