How to share a wall type across multiple projects

I created a wall type that I want to user in different projects but I don't want to have to recreate it for every project is there a way to export and import it or share it some kind of way. I have Home Designer Pro 2020

This is easily done in Chief Premier but no so in HD Pro. If I were you, I would create a ".plan" file and call it Wall Types and then when I wanted that wall type you could then copy-paste that custom wall type into your current plan from the "Wall Types" plan. A lot of what Chief Premier can do can be done in Pro but it usually takes additional steps in Pro.

You copy/paste a wall, not a wall type. Once a wall is in the plan it becomes available in the wall types list.

Open a new plan. Copy/paste wall from another plan. Delete the newly copied wall. Save, close, then open the new plan.

 

The wall type is still available.

 

Take that new plan and replace the profile.plan file that HD uses as the default template.

 

Now when you open a new plan using the default template, that wall type will be available.
