seanibew
I am a beginner at this, to say the least. I wish there was a "For dummies" book, as I find even the simplest tasks complicated on this program. I, for the most part, have my layout designed the way I'd like. However, when I try to get a dollhouse, or any other 3D view of my project to come up I have no such luck. I have Home Designer Suite 2015. When I try to pull up a 3D view and set my camera view, I just get a blank "view". My layout/house does not pull up. Am I missing something? Help! solver
When in a 3D view, find the button (see image) and click. It's often on the far right side of the window. It fills the screen with the structure.
solver
There is a huge amount of information available via video on youtube, and the home designer site (and Chief Architect site). Spend a few hours watching and reading over the users guide.

Kbird1
Read up on how to position cameras to get views but the Perspective Overview or Dollhouse views should show you something unless you have a videocard driver issue, sometimes the Overviews place you a long way away from the building , so Eric's suggestions sometimes works ( not always for me . at least) otherwise scroll around with the arrow keys or mouse till you see something.
