G_Dups
Using HDPro2017... do you know a method to designate and show, in the same room (in this case, a kitchen) a section of wood that's adjacent to a section of tile? Not much more I can add... the room is designed and a wood surface has been applied, but I cannot figure out how to select a section for showing another surface, like tile. Thanks!! bluesparrowllc
I've done this with the soffit tool to make tile-to-wood transitions; make the soffit 1/4 inch thick and apply the appropriate material. Not ideal, but it works and you can try different configurations easily.
G_Dups
THAT is a really goofy crutch... but it WORKED! :-) I'm still playing around with the textures, etc., but it all seems possible. Thanks @bluesparrowllc for the help!
LawB10
Did you try the room divider tool?
TomGriff
Yes, the room divider feature (in the Build Walls tab) is the way to do it. Tom
solver
I'll vote for using a solid -- a slab, or soffit for example. Creating a room just to change an area of flooring seems to be overkill. Chief, for example, has a Floor Material Region (similar to a Custom Backsplash or Wall Material Region) just for this purpose.
