Interior walls and doors coming up as exterior walls and doors

I am working in Home Designer Pro and have created the exterior walls in my design.  When I select and create "interior walls" from my tools options, the wall draws and appears as an interior wall, but if I open up the wall specification box, it is an exterior wall.  Same for doors that I drop into these walls, they are all exterior.  I would appreciate any help or advise on what I may have done incorrectly.

When you open the specification box, click on the image and rotate it.

Every wall has two sides, "interior" and "exterior"

with the select tool.

left click on wall,

right click on wall

select revers layers.
