1ucieAlfie
I am trying to create an indoor corridor with an arched ceiling. This will not follow the roof line. Can this be done in Home Designer Suite 2015 ? Is it possible in any other package, if so which one/s ? Any advice would be gratefully received. Many thanks for taking the time to read this. scottharris
You probably need Chief Architect Premier for a curved or barrel ceiling; it can be rented for $199/mo.
Elovia
Barring the suggestion by scottharris, you can create an arched ceiling shape in SketchUp and then import it into your hallway; this is likely to be a rectangular block with a concave curved surface on the underside.. This is probably the easiest (or only) way for HDSuite. Alternatively, with significantly more work, you can create a barrel ceiling in HDPro using many ceiling planes similar to the following knowledge base article, but using ceiling planes instead of roof planes: https://www.homedesignersoftware.com/support/article/KB-01187/creating-a-barrel-roof.html Good luck. LawB10
Like Elovia said, you would have to create the ceiling using a Arc or go to 3d warehouse and search for Barrel Ceiling. I have the file but cannot upload, the forum doesn't allow it.
