scott_v Posted September 13, 2015 Share Posted September 13, 2015 Plan attached. Notice that ceiling joists are not butting tight to rafters. I've looked for a setting but don't see anything applicable, tried several times to rebuild framing....can't figure it out. Edit: I believed I solved it. I made sure that "reference framing" was checked on both roof and ceilings joists.....executed build and it looks like that did the trick. I'm attaching both the unfixed plan and the fixed plan (R1). Have i correctly identified andfixed the problem? Just want to make sure it wasn't a random fix. Kbird1 Posted September 13, 2015 Share Posted September 13, 2015 HD usually does it Auto but if you use a framing reference on one you will likely need it on the Other to force the new layout which may not correspond to HD's auto generated one. The point is if the end user takes the time to study and then practice what was studied in the Reference Manual, it makes the difference between "luck" and just being competent, the variable is not in the software but rather in the user of that software.
