Have a read up on the Wall Covering settings in the Wall Dialog box , that should do it. ( yes doesn't sound right but it isn't talking about Wallpaper ! )

I saw the red box but pic is so small I can't see the details ,zoom the view before you take the pic 1st. you can't cut soffits, use shapes if needed I'm still not sure why you need to do this though ? it sounds like you didn't build the framing so the floor joist appears as a blank space instead... but????? post the plan ? M.

cant see the Soffit you used in that pic but you can't "cut" soffits just resize them ,adjust material and height etc. Are you sure the "Gap" isn't just because you haven't built the Framing yet? so it looks empty..... Attic is a special designation in CA/HD software , which causes the roof to be built off the 1st floor framing, you can't build Rooms in the Attic (A) level either, so use the 2 storey method with open to below, have a look in the KB ( eric linked above or in my sig.) for an article on 1 1/2 storey/Cape Cod houses (set the 2nd storey to 0" if needed, ie no knee walls) or one on Lofts/Mezzanine Floors

HDP can import a PDF but it is really just an image you can trace over if needed , it may work better than a Jpg as the PDF is hopefully a scaled drawing. HDP can import .DXF files from AutoCAD but most Architect's won't give out those files as each Plan is copyrighted . M.

They don't call it a "lining" in NA Robyn ( think American when doing searches ) which is why you can't find it in the manual. It is called Ceiling Finish and depending on what you want to specify it is in the Room DBX or for a whole Floor it is in the Defaults for the Floor , see here Click on the Edit Button and change as needed

Try using the Library>Import Library(calibz) Function if the dbl click method does not work. M

Which would suggest a bug OR you drew it exactly the same way 3 times ...... Post the latest Plan again and let people look at it again perhaps.... M.

I am not sure if Chief Inc offers a hard copy manual for sale as they do with the pro versions but, if the they do, I would highly recommend buying one. Reading a help file on the computer screen just isn't the same. Not a big fan of the HELP system either , I however do find the PDF version of it much better/easier to read , and it's still fully searchable. I don't think HD titles have any addons like the CA Premier Products do , since most wouldn't pay for a printed manual these days

No , Ram (memory) is a different thing than your Hard Drive Space. Looks like you need to possibly do a Disk cleanup or you may need an additional Hard Drive soon too . Most Intel Chip Video cards of HD4000 or higher number can use the 3D capability of the Home Designer Software , so a more current driver may fix the Issue. HP may not have one on their Website for it but Intel may on theirs' . Will you be happy with the performance of it in 3D perhaps not . If you have the Budget for a new videocard , I would suggest one with a Nvidia Chipset , made by a major manufacturer such as Gigabyte, Asus, MSI, etc You can do this upgrade yourself or any tech savvy kid could too , post a bit more information about you particular computer, model # etc and we/I can give more advice if needed.

Well you luck is in, slow Sat. night here ..... Apparently most SU artists only make Roadside Billboards ,some were huge, so I have attempted to resize them, to make them useable, if you have an issue with any (or All) let me know and I'll figure out what I did wrong if you can't resize if needed. you can turn it off as well if you don't want/need a backsplash . Either in the defaults as above for all cabinets or per cabinet if you want it in some areas and not others in each cabinets DBX (dialog box) I would suggestion using the Help Menu or Reference Manual Searchable PDF also on the Help menu frequently if you are just starting out. M.

Ooops , yes I used the Release that came out Wed. , I'll reopen in 2015 and try again. My Colours didn't have 1/2 what you used when I got your plan so I just used the carpet colour so you could see the UA Logos well as Bright Orange aint my thang !

There is a bug that has been around for years that causes the auto roofs to "meld" if the floor levels are less that 12" different , and I could see in the photo of the real thing your garage floor / house floor etc is not what was in the test model ....it actually maybe a good thing if it helps evade the "12inch Bug". M.

You are right SU is a PITA with no snaps to work with etc , I guess you resized it in HD as the original is HUGE , I think he had scale as feet not inches.... it is also hollow in the back did you notice that? not sure these will help but I managed to flip it up UnderArmour1.calibz UNDER-ARMOUR_V14.zip a second one I played with UnderArmour2.calibz

oh then just post the SU symbol ,so I can have a look , though I aint no expert in SU , I basically use it to convert .skps so I can use in HD Pro. M.

Laptop ? older Intel Chip videocard ? we'd need more details , otherwise call Sales/CS on Monday at the 1-800 # There is a 30 day return period if it doesn't work for you . M.
