Are you asking if Home Designer/Chief Architect has rights to images you create using their software? The answer is no. They belong to you to do with as you wish.

You could place a room divider in your terrain. Place your lighting on this wall. Adjust its placement as needed, then select the wall and lighting and move them to your terrain wall.

I'm sure these could be done with Auto Build Roofs on. I'd start by building a blank 2nd floor with a 0" height. Draw in rooms as needed, and set the front wall to full gable. But these are also easy to do manually if you go step by step, and good practice. I don't do video like DJP, but these images should get you started.

Something like this?

There is only one dormer shown in the 3 images -- a small shed dormer in the first picture. Are you referring to the gables?

With Pro, the easy solution is to manually draw in the roof plane you need. I don't know what it's supposed to look like, roof pitch etc, but I've attached your plan with the shed roof in place. LEE HOGGLE Shed Roof.plan

I just looked and could not find the thread I was remembering. The knowledge base was no help either. I'm not sure it can be done using Interiors, but someone else will need to confirm.

When you finish changing things in the DBX, make sure to TAB out of the last text box. Then verify your settings. If you just click OK to save and exit the DBX, you risk not seeing changes the program makes as a result of your last entry. If you can reproduce the problem, post the plan here with instructions on how to duplicate the problem.

You will find a variety of shapes in the library -- Wedge, Boxes etc. Combine these as needed to create the shape you need.

Just install it again, no need to deactivate.

Place it in plan view. Drag it to rough size. Switch to a camera view for final adjustments. Once one is done, use Transform Replicate if it's available to duplicate.

QUESTION How can I turn off the display of the Attic walls that the program automatically generates so that I don't see them in my floor plan views? Each view -- Plan, 3D, has its own set of display options. If you turn off the display of attic walls in the 3D view, they will not show. If you turn them off in plan view, they will not display in plan view, but will display in 3D views.

Those are considered Attic Walls.

I'm finding adding the shed roof manually is easier.

You are able to build a very simple representation of a spiral stair using the basic tools within the software.
