Designer_Ryan
I have arches, above columns, in the dining room. Can Home Designer Pro add arches in soffits? I've found an older post (2010) stating, "you will have to use a polyline solid, or a slab. You can shape them & curve them in plan view." (How would this be done, if soffits can't be adjusted?) This is what I've drawn, with soffits. This is what I want to achieve. reference: http://www.chieftalk.com/showthread.php?49355-Curved-Soffit
Jo_Ann
Why are you even looking at a Chief Premier help file??? AND...there is more than one way to do this. First option is to look in the Home Designer Knowledge Base.

First option is to look in the Home Designer Knowledge Base. Chief Premier came up under a google search. Thanks for giving me this, "Home Designer Knowledge Base." I saved it as a favorite. If you had a link on the words Home Designer, nothing opened. May I ask, "What did you search on the Home Designer Knowledge Base?"
Solution solver Posted 4 hours ago Solution Share Posted 4 hours ago I looked at that old thread you found. It refers to a curved soffit -- a soffit against a curved wall. I also searched this forum and found a solution. Here are a couple of tips. Try to learn the tools you have available -- what they can and cannot do. Since soffits won't work, what will? Learn to think outside the box when solving a problem like this. You see soffits, I see a thick wall. Why? Because you can use the door and window tools to create arched openings in walls. You can create a Pony Wall with a Room Divider wall on the bottom, or select the wall and drag its bottom up. As for searching for help, start at the Home Designer website. the search there searches it and this forum. Search video: I don't know if this will help. I've not watched it since i made it a year ago.
