JMoldenhauer
I am having a tuff time setting the wall settings. As I am building the wall it does not measure from finished surface to finished surface. I have adjusted the default settings every way I can and nothing changes. What am I missing?
solver
Quote pro 2024 Please add this each time you ask or respond to a question. Many responses need this info. I'm guessing you are showing a Temporary Dimension in your image (always good to specify). Temporary Dimensions will always display like that. If you are creating a model for a house that you have measured the exterior of, as an example, you need to dimension the walls using Auto or Manual dimensions, not Temporary Dimensions. Then work your way around changing each wall as needed. Just draw the plan getting the basic shape correct, apply dimensions, then change wall lengths to be correct. You might turn on Show Start And End Indicators, and learn about the options when a dimension is selected. You can also toggle off Temporary Dimension display. And if the walls are stucco, suggest you change the default exterior wall type to one that represents the wall. Generally, try to set all your defaults prior to drawing -- walls, windows and doors etc.
